On December 14-15, 2023, a group of scientific employees of the Institute of Economics of the Ministry of Science and Education visited Tbilisi State University (TSU) named after Ivane Javakhishvili in Georgia. On December 14, the delegation met with the head of the Public Relations Office at Tbilisi State University, Ucha Gogrichiani, and got acquainted with the university's historical building, museum, and library
On the same day, held a round table was under the leadership of Professor Giorgi Gaganidze, Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business of TSU. Discussed the issues of economic relations between Georgia and Azerbaijan, socio-economic development of the countries. At the event, researchers of the Institute of Economics of the Ministry of Science and Education made a presentation on the following topics:
1. "Directions for efficiency increase in oil and gas resources usage in Azerbaijan" - leading researcher, Ph.D., associate professor Nasimi Ahmadov.
2. "Comparative analysis of the position of Azerbaijan and neighboring countries in the maturity Index of Government Technologies" - leading researcher, Ph.D. in Economics, Gulnara Fataliyeva.
3. "Fundamentals of economic relations between Azerbaijan and Georgia and the floating exchange rate regime" - senior researcher Elnur Zeynalov.
4. "Life insurance from the aspect of non-state social insurance" - researcher Melek Aliyeva.
5. "The economic impact of Russia's aggression on Ukraine on the Caucasian countries: short-term benefits and long-term problems" - leading researcher, Ph.D. in Economics, Iskander Babazadeh.
6. "Restoration of post-conflict territories in the South Caucasus region. Azerbaijan's current experience" - junior researcher Anvar Ismayilli.
7. "Historical review of Azerbaijan-Georgia economic relations. The role of jointly realized economic projects" - Murad Farajov.
During the visit, opportunities for future cooperation in various directions were discussed with representatives of the Faculty of Economics and Business of Tbilisi State University named after Ivane Javakhishvili (economics.com.az).
