"Index of socio-economic development of economic and administrative regions of Azerbaijan"

  Published the monograph "Index of socio-economic development of economic and administrative regions of Azerbaijan". It was developed on the basis of the scientific-research works conducted by head of Department of Utilization Problems of Regional Development and Natural Resources of the Institute of Economy of the Ministry of Science and Education, professor Rena Sultanova, Karim Piriyev and head of the Education Department, Ph.D. in Economics Ellada Khankishiyeva. The scientific editors of the book are professor Tapdig Hasanov and associate professor Allahyar Muradov, the reviewers are professor Farhad Rahmanov and associate professor Alasgar Sariyev.
   The study was conducted based on the classification of the country's regions until 2021. In the monograph, were studied directions for improving the position of Azerbaijan in terms of indicators of socio-economic development in economic and administrative regions in international rankings and were given relevant suggestions and recommendations.
  In the book, worked out the theoretical and methodological bases of determining the socio-economic development rating of the economic and administrative regions of Azerbaijan. Thus, in the monograph, has given the calculation and analysis of sub-indices in the preparation of socio-economic development rating for regions. Here, studied the development trends of sub-indices in the economic regions of the country.
  In the monograph, was given an econometric evaluation of the socio-economic development rating in the economic regions of Azerbaijan, according to the relevant indicators were evaluated the strengths and weaknesses of the economic regions, and based on the obtained results were made suggestions to the relevant state bodies.    
  The book is intended for scientific workers, university teachers, doctoral students, researchers and a wide readerships (economics.org.az).
