On November 30, 2023, held the next meeting of the Scientific Council of the Institute of Economics of the Ministry of Science and Education. A number of issues were discussed at the meeting chaired by the director general of the institute, D.Sc., Professor Nazim Muzaffarli (Imanov)
The director general gave information about the implementation of the scientific research works of the Institute's plan for 2023, the presentation and discussion of the reports of the scientific departments, and the planned measures in regarding to the holding of competition between the scientific departments and employees on scientific research works.
Professor Nazim Muzaffarli gave information about the international scientific and practical conference in Jabrayil, Gubadli and Zangilan regions, which are included in the Eastern Zangezur economic region, the Special Delegation of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the State Customs Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Institute of Economics MSE jointly organized the "International transport-logistics corridor: development impulses from Zangilan". He said that the impact of international transport corridors on the economic development of the Eurasian continent, the opening of the Zangezur corridor and its integration into existing transport systems, the development and digitization of these systems, and the implementation of innovative customs mechanisms in the countries along the corridor were discussed at the conference. Employees of local and foreign state institutions, international organizations, think tanks, scientists, managers of international transport companies took part in the conference. The conference was held at a very high level.
Member of the Scientific Council, associate professor Mahir Zeynalov, gave information about the republican scientific conference on November 23-24, 2023, organized by the Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University, the Institute of Economics of the Ministry of Science and Education, dedicated to the 100th anniversary of National Leader Heydar Aliyev, on the "Modern problems and perspectives of economic management". He said that the general director of the Institute of Economics, Prof. N. Muzaffarli made a speech. In addition, the employees of the Institute actively participated in this scientific event, gave speeches at the plenary and section meetings, held interesting and extensive scientific discussions during those two days. A certificate was presented to a group of our researchers who actively participated in the conference. In the near future, it is planned to print the conference materials.
In the Scientific Council, the organization of both conferences at a high level was evaluated as a success of the Institute of Economics.
By the decision of the Scientific Council, "Tourism in Azerbaijan: dynamics of recent years" by, Ph.D., Associate Professor Leyli Allahverdiyeva and Ph.D., Associate Professor, Tabriz Yadigarov's bulletins "Azerbaijan's transport logistics-2023" were recommended for printing.
The members of the Scientific Council are the leading researcher of the Institute, Ph.D., Matanat Abdalova was congratulated on receiving the academic title “Associate professor” (economics.com.az).
