In Jabrayil, Gubadli and Zangilan regions, which are included in the Eastern Zangezur economic region, the Special Delegation of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the State Customs Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Institute of Economics MSE jointly organized the "International transport-logistics corridor: development impulses from Zangilan". The international scientific and practical conference, which started in Zangilan on November 16, was continued in Baku on November 17, 2023
Rahman Hummetov, Deputy Minister of Digital Development and Transport made a speech at the conference that moderated by 
Professor Nazim Muzaffarli (Imanov), Director General of Economics Institute MSE, emphasized the importance of the conference in terms of improving transport and transit cooperation in the region, also overcoming difficulties. The Deputy Minister said that in recent years, the relations between the countries of the region have developed further and have increased transit crossings between the countries.
Rahman Hummetov noted that it is no coincidence that within the sessions of the conference, was given wide range of discussion about the Zangezur Corridor: "The importance of the conference will be great in terms of having detailed discussions about the potential, main advantages and transit importance of the Zangazur corridor as the main part of the Middle Corridor, which assumes great importance for the region, and having a wide database for the promotion of the corridor in other international platforms in the future."
Natig Shirinov, Deputy Chairman of the State Customs Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan, also made a speech at the event. Then, held panel discussions at the conference with the participation of local and foreign government agencies, international organizations, international financial institutions, think tank employees, scientists and managers of international transport companies.
Discussions on "Zangezur corridor initiative as a catalyst for regional cooperation and development" (moderator Javid Valiyev, Center for the Analysis of International Relations), "Innovative customs system for international transport corridors" (Gulu Novruzov, head of the Academy of the State Customs Committee), "International transport and logistics corridors as a means of peace and partnership" (Shahin Bayramov, rector of Mingachevir State University), "Main trends in the modernization of transport and logistics industries" (Ibad Abbasov, rector of Baku Business University), design and implementation of logistics policy (Alparslan Imamgulu, Academy of the State Customs Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan), The development and digitalization of transport service infrastructure along the Middle Corridor (Aybeniz Ismayilova, Head of the Communications Department of "Azerbaijan Railways" Closed Joint Stock Company) and "The role of the Zangezur Corridor in the development of regional integration" (Vahid Novruzov, Chamber of Auditors of the Republic of Azerbaijan) covered the topics.
The speakers talked about the improvement of customs procedures, modernization of the transport and logistics sector, digitization of transport services on international corridors, formulation and implementation of logistics policies. In the final session, discussed the results of the conference.
