On May 8, 2023, held a hybrid scientific seminar at the Institute of Economics of the Ministry of Science and Education. The event chaired by the executive director of the institute, D.Sc., professor Mushfiq Atakishiyev, and tended online by a number of employees of higher education institutions
At the seminar, head of department of “Problems of Monetary and Fiscal Regulation", Ph.D. in Economics, Yashar Mammadov made a presentation on "Economic problems of modern cinema". He said that development of field of the national film culture, like other social fields, is always surrounded by state care. In our country, a number of necessary measures have been implemented in this field, and a legal framework has been formed in terms of the development of the film industry in accordance with the modern requirements. Although certain progress has been made in the development of the film industry in modern times, there are still serious problems waiting to be solved in this field.
The researcher spoke about the privatization of cinemas and cinema-related facilities in Azerbaijan, the current situation and development problems of the film industry in the country, as well as the experience of foreign countries in this field. In the seminar, questions related to the topic were answered and held extensive discussions. Speakers - prof. Nazim Muzaffarli, prof. Mushfiq Atakishiyev, prof. Tarbiz Aliyev, D.Sc., Rasmiyya Abdullayeva, associate professor Azer Safarov, Tanriverdi Pasha and others spoke about the economic problems of modern cinema in Azerbaijan, and voiced their suggestions and recommendations (economics.com.az).
