On February 27, 2023, held another scientific online seminar at the Institute of Economics of the Ministry of Science and Education. The event, chaired by the Executive Director of the Institute, Professor Mushfig Atakishiyev, was attended by employees of a number of higher educational institutions
Leading Researcher of the Department of Regulation of Foreign Economic Activity, Doctor of Philosophy, Associate Professor Tabriz Yadigyarov made a presentation on the topic "Assessment of customs and tariff regulation in the development of foreign economic relations." Commenting on the importance of state regulation of foreign economic activity, the speaker substantiated the relevance of assessing the impact of customs and tariff regulation on the development of foreign economic relations as a source of state budget revenues.
In customs and tariff regulation, the researcher drew up a scheme for determining the country of origin of goods, customs value and customs duties of goods as tools for regulating foreign trade, and also applied an effective trade policy when applying two types of customs tariffs (simple and complex) at the present stage of development of society and market relations. In addition for analyzing the role of optimal customs and tariff regulation in increasing budget revenues on the basis of statistical data, is given an assessment of its impact on economic growth.
At the research work also widely interpreted issues related to preferential duties in foreign economic transactions, and also analyzed the legitimacy between the level of customs duties and the level of development of the country in customs and tariff regulation in Azerbaijan using the EViews -12 software package.
The author also put forward proposals based on the results obtained in the analysis and evaluation of customs and tariff regulation in the development of foreign economic relations.
