On December 26, 2022, held the next online scientific seminar at the Institute of Economics. The event chaired by the director general of the institute, D.Sc., professor Nazim Muzaffarli (Imanov), was attended by a number of employees of higher education institutions
At the seminar, the leading researcher of the Department of Industrial Policy and Investment Problems of the Institute of Economics, Sahin Sadigov, Doctor of Philosophy in Economics, made a presentation on "Competitive development potential of production of textile and leather products and its effective utilization". The speaker presents the current state of textile and leather production in Azerbaijan, import and export of these products, increasing production and export potential, protection of the domestic market, business environment, raw material base, demand and supply in the market, ways to increase the competitiveness of enterprises, promotion of investments, the state in this sector talked about issues of providing support. In addition, the main problems in the development of textile and mentioned leather products production in the country and made suggestions for their solution.
