On September 14, 2022, held a meeting on the defense of the PhD thesis at the Dissertation Council of the Institute of Economics
In the meeting chaired by the deputy chairman of the council, professor Mushfiq Atakishiyev, held the discussion of the thesis submitted by Mammadova Vagif Gulnara on the topic of "Improving the process of obtaining a price in the sector of electric power" for receiving Ph.D. scientific degree (scientific supervisor, professor Gulshan Yuzbashiyeva).

Scientific secretary of the Dissertation Council, Ph.D. in Economics, Sevda Seyidova gave information about the defender, and G.Mammadova made a broad presentation about the main content of her dissertation. Heard the opinions of official opponents – D.Sc., professors - M. Mammadov, G. Safarov, R. Guliyev and S. Purkhani. The plaintiff answered the questions addressed to her. The members of the council spoke about the dissertation work, expressed their opinions, and held discussions.
In the end, through secret voting G. Mammadova's dissertation was approved by the Dissertation Council (economics.com.az).
