On June 24, 2022, held the next meeting of the Scientific Council of the Institute of Economics of ANAS. A number of issues were discussed at the meeting chaired by the Director General of the Institute, Doctor of Economics, Professor Nazim Muzaffarli (Imanov)
Professor Mushfig Atakishiyev in connection with his appointment as an Executive Director was elected Deputy Chairman of the Scientific Council, and the new head of the department "Economy of Service’s areas", associate professor Parviz Hasanov was included in the membership of the Council.
Prof. Nazim Muzaffarli gave information about the preparations and organizational work for the international scientific-practical conference "Economics of Culture: Impulses from Shusha" that will be held in Shusha on September 18-19 of this year. He also spoke about the special research projects implemented by the Institute of Economics at the request of government agencies, the representation of the institute's staff as experts in 10 government working groups, opportunities for further expansion of cooperation with government agencies and its importance. Based on his proposal, by the decision of the Scientific Council was established the post of Deputy on Director General for Special Research Projects and will be submitted to the Presidium of ANAS for approving.
Executive Director, prof. Mushfig Atakishiyev spoke about the semi-annual report of the Institute's planned research work, noting the importance of timely submission of annual reports and improving the quality of research in the departments. He stressed that the main purpose of the recent structural reforms at the institute is to improve the quality of scientific research. He said that this year, along with the traditional report of the department heads, the report of each researcher will be heard separately.
By the decision of the Scientific Council, the book "Quality of life in Azerbaijan - 2020: towards the inclusive development" (authors assoc.prof., Parviz Hasanov and researcher Minara Aghayeva, scientific editor DSc. in Economics, Rasmiyya Abdullayeva) was recommended for publication (economics.com.az).
