Ogtay Ibrahimov, an advisor of the Board of the National Observatory for Labor Market and Social Protection under the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection, at the seminar made a report on "Global Internet Economy: Modern Challenges, Opportunities and Prospects for Azerbaijan".
Emphasizing the essence and growing importance of the Internet economy, the speaker noted the main trends in global online commerce, the dynamics of e-commerce, leading companies in this field, access to global commodity and online commerce markets, potential opportunities in virtual employment, the role of digital platforms in the global labor market. He spoke about opportunities for digital participation in financial markets, digital banking, digital trade in intellectual services.
Ogtay Ibrahimov gave information about the creative economy, virtual worlds, intellectual projects, growing virtual and digital economy, its share in global GDP, fundamental foundations of Internet economy and national ecosystem, role and importance in economic development, international trends in this field, increasing competition, virtual environment provided extensive information on the features and potential capabilities.
