On May 17, 2022, the Institute of Economics of ANAS and Mingachevir State University (MSU) jointly organized a scientific conference on "National priorities of sustainable development and the realities of modern transformation policy."The conference was attended by a group of scientists of the Institute of Economics of ANAS, professor and teachers’ members of the university, students and masters
Rector of Mingachevir State University Shahin Bayramov, Director General of the Institute of Economics of ANAS, Professor Nazim Muzaffarli and Head of Mingachevir City Executive Power Ilham Ismayilov made introductory speeches at the opening of the conference.
Expressing his satisfaction being with the collective members of MSU, the Director General of the Institute of Economics of ANAS, prof. Nazim Muzaffarli 
thanked the university administration for the invitation to the conference. Speaking about the importance of the formation of the scientific environment in the regions, outside the capital, the Director General praised the initiative of MSU to hold a joint conference in this regard and noted that they are always open to cooperation as a research institutes.
Noting that ensuring sustainable and stable development is one of the priorities of state policy, N. Muzaffarli spoke about the urgency of the conference topic. He stressed that currently the research on the priorities set by the President in the field of sustainable development is the main direction of scientific activity in research and higher education institutions, and paying the special attention to such topics at MSU is also commendable. Speaking about the revival of native Karabakh and the comparative advantages of its economy in the long run, N. Muzaffarli gave information about the scientific research conducted at the Institute in order to develop scientifically based strategic views in this regard. He wished the scientific events helding in various formats to be sustainable in the development of scientific potential in this direction.
Then heard scientific reports at the conference. Professor Akif Musayev, head of Scientific Center of the Rehabilitation of Post-Conflict Territories of the Institute of Economics of ANAS, Corresponding Member of ANAS, made a speech on “Public-private cooperation in financing the rehabilitation and reconstruction of post-conflict territories”, Professor Mushvig Atakishiyev, acting Executive Director of the Institute, Ph.D. in Economics, associate professor, Allahyar Muradov spoke on "Environmental framework of innovative economic development of Azerbaijan: real situation and prospects".
Signed a Memorandum of Understanding on mutual cooperation between the Institute of Economics of ANAS and Mingachevir State University within the conference. The memorandum provides for joint activities between the parties in order to strengthen scientific cooperation.
After the conference, the participants visited the Azerbaijan Thermal Power Plant, Mingachevir Hydroelectric Power Station and Mingachevir Industrial Park, where they got acquainted with the production process.
The general manager of the Institute of Economics of ANAS Shakir Aliyev, head of the department, Ph.D. in Economics, associate professor Mahir Zeynalov, leading researcher, Ph.D. in Economics Famil Rustamov also attended the conference (economics.com.az).
