On February 14, 2022, held the next online scientific seminar at the Institute of Economics of ANAS
Employees of the Folklore Institute and higher education institutions also attended the event chaired by Doctor of Economics, Professor Nazim Muzaffarli the Director General of the Institute of Economics of ANAS.
At the seminar Director General of the Institute of Folklore of ANAS, Academician Mukhtar Imanov made a report on "Azerbaijani folklore and statehood consciousness". Giving information about the researches carried out at the Institute, the Director General reflected our rich national folklore, epics, folklore heroes, the role of folklore in the formation of national thinking, the history of our ancient statehood and national traditions in various forms in epics, and fairy tales. He spoke about his love for the land, homeland, family, woman, mother, father, child, nature, and the work done in the field of collecting folklore samples in the regions of Azerbaijan.
The academician noted that folklore studies is accepted all over the world as an important field of folk art, which reflects the freedom struggle of peoples. Historically, the main goal of societies is the idea of political independence, the struggle for it. Epics created by the Azerbaijani people, especially "Dada Gorgud" are examples of this. All Oguznamas have one goal - to build an independent state. Examples of folklore created by our people include our statehood traditions, unity of state and society, unity of people, governance based on justice, protection and strengthening of state, people's life, national thought, traditions, justice, religion, state, people, army, society in the worldview of ancient Turks. The unifying factors, are reflected the images of good and evil.
At the end, extensive discussions were held on the topic and answered questions. In the modern globalized world, the importance of integration into the world while preserving our historically formed rich national features and identity, emphasized its role and importance in strengthening our statehood (economics.com.az).
