On January 27, 2022, held the next online meeting of the Scientific Council of the Institute of Economics of ANAS with the "Zoom" program. A number of issues were discussed at the online event chaired by the Director General of the Institute, Doctor of Economics, Professor Nazim Muzaffarli (Imanov)
The General Director informed that 2 employees of the institute – Doctor of Economics, assoc.prof., Mayis Gulaliyev and Ph.D. in Economics, assoc.prof., Agil Eyvazov resigned at his own request and will continue his activities at the Azerbaijan University of Technology.
It was also noted that by the relevant order of the Director General of the Institute of Economics, an "Expert Commission against Plagiarism" was established at the Institute to examine scientific works on plagiarism, including dissertations. Supervision of the Commission's activity has been entrusted to the Scientific Secretary of the Institute, Ph.D. in Economics, assoc.prof., Leyli Allahverdiyeva. Employees of the Institute - Leading Researcher, Ph.D. in Economics, assoc.prof., Emin Mammadzadeh - chairman and senior researcher Gulnara Fataliyeva - were included in the membership. Dissertations on plagiarism will be checked in two stages: during the initial discussion - through the anti-plagiarism system "Strikeplagiarism"; when submitted to a scientific seminar - by the method of expert inspection by the commission, monographs, books and articles recommended for publication by the decision of the Scientific Council of the Institute, as well as scientific works to be sent to the HAC for a scientific title will be examined by the Commission by an expert before submission to the Scientific Council. The commission will start its work on February 1, 2022. Also, from February 1, 2022, will be resumed preliminary discussions of dissertations and scientific seminars.
Scientific Secretary of the Institute of Economics, Ph.D. in Economics, assoc.prof., Leyli Allahverdiyeva informed about the activities of the Council of Young Scientists and Specialists (YSS), the new composition of the Council formed in accordance with the legislation on youth. He said that scientific researcher Jeyhun Huseynov was elected the new chairman of CYSS, researcher Dilman Asadov was elected deputy chairman and researcher Minara Agayeva was elected secretary.
Then by voting were made changes in the composition of the Scientific Council, Associate Professor Ramil Aliyev and assoc.prof., Mayis Gulaliyev was expelled from the Scientific Council, and the new chairman of CYSS, Jeyhun Huseynov, was included in the Council.
Head of the Education Department, Associate Professor Gulsura Mehdiyeva gave information about the individual work plans of doctoral students and Ph.D. students of the Institute, and after discussions, the work plans were approved (economics.com.az).
