A conference on "Innovative economic development opportunities of the liberated territories" was organized by the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Azerbaijan, ADA University and the Institute of Economics of ANAS at the Training Center of the State Tax Service in Shamakhi on December 6, 2021. The goal is to continue scientific support for the construction of a new economy in Karabakh, which has been carried out with great success under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev
Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, Ministry of Economy, Ministry of Digital Development and Transport, Ministry of Agriculture, State Statistics Committee, State Committee for Refugees and Internally Displaced Persons, State Agency for Citizen Services and Social Innovations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan (ASAN Service), Azerbaijan Representatives of the State University of Economics, Azerbaijan State University of Oil and Industry, the Union of Economists of Azerbaijan, the Chamber of Auditors and the Executive Power of Shamakhi region participated in the event.
Opening the event, General Director of the Institute of Economics of ANAS, Professor Nazim Muzaffarli (Imanov) spoke about the opportunities for innovative economic development of the Azerbaijani economy, the realities in this area, the process of building a new economy in Karabakh. He noted that building the economy from scratch in the liberated territories is a good opportunity to rebuild everything here and create an innovative environment, and the urgency of innovative economic development in Karabakh. He said that this scientific-practical conference is held within the framework of a comprehensive study on "Assessment of economic potential and selection of comparative advantages in post-conflict areas of Azerbaijan" carried out by the Institute of Economics of ANAS by the order of the Ministry of Economy.
Then Deputy Minister of Economy Sahib Alakbarov, Head of the Executive Power of Shamakhi region Tahir Mammadov and Head of the Training Center of the State Tax Service under the Ministry of Economy Mirali Kazimov made opening speeches.
Then were heard reports at the conference. Special Representative of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Aghdam region Emin Huseynov made a speech on “Innovative economy in Aghdam region: practical work and prospects for the near future”, First Vice-President of ANAS, academician Arif Hashimov made a speech on “Innovative economy and reforms in science organization”, Deputy Chairman of the State Committee for Internally Displaced Persons and Refugees Fuad Huseynov made a speech on “Issues of preparing potential repatriates to live in a“ smart city ”,“ smart village ”,“ smart economy ”, MP, Chairman of the Union of Economists of Azerbaijan, academician Ziyad Samadzadeh made a speech on “The creation of competitive industrial potential in the Eastern Zangazur and Karabakh economic regions”, Rector of Azerbaijan State University of Oil and Industry, D.Sc. in Tech, Professor Mustafa Babanli spoke on "Innovative economy and innovative man".
At the event also listened the speech by the adviser of the Minister of Digital Development and Transport Rashad Hasanov on "The role of innovative technologies in the reconstruction and development of the post-conflict period", Deputy Chairman of the State Statistics Committee Yusif Yusifov spoke on "Problems in measuring the level of innovation in Azerbaijan and their solutions" Deputy Chairman of the State Agency for Services and Social Innovations Jeyhun Salmanov made a speech on "Mechanisms to promote the production of innovative products and services", Director of the Agrarian Research Center of the Ministry of Agriculture, Ph.D. in Economics Firdovsi Fikretzadeh made a speech on "Prospects for the use of innovative technologies in agriculture in Karabakh", Deputy of General Director of the Institute of Economics of ANAS, Ph.D. in Economics, Associate Professor Allahyar Muradov's reports were heard on "Environmental framework of innovative economic development".
