At the seminar, leading researcher of the department "Problems of Regional Development and Utilization of Natural Resources" of the Institute of Economics, Doctor of Philosophy in Economics Mazaddin Ayyubov made a report on "Economic Potential". The speaker commented on the concept of economic potential, spoke about the system of economic potential and its main elements, natural resources, the main potential of the country, the region, the main factors, opportunities and realities that determine the economic potential. He said that the category of potential (concept) is considered as a reserve tool, and opportunity in any field. The concept of economic potential refers to the reserve factors that belong to economic systems and ensure the functioning of dynamic economic systems. The existence of natural resources does not mean full economic potential, but the main issue is the existence of all economic factors for the realization of that potential. In this regard, the concept of real economic potential has a broader meaning. At the seminar discussed the economic potential of Karabakh, its natural resources and opportunities for their utilization, as well as the prospects for future development of the region.
