On October 1, 2021, held the next meeting of the Presidium of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences
President of ANAS, academician Ramiz Mehdiyev, other members of the Presidium, academicians - Isa Habibbayli, Ibrahim Guliyev, Dilgam Tagiyev, Irada Huseynova, Rasim Alguliyev, Tofig Nagiyev, Arif Hashimov, Jamil Aliyev, Govhar Bakhshaliyeva, Fikret Aliyev, Adil Garibov, Ismayil Hajiyev, Fuad Aliyev, as well as the Chief of Staff of the Presidium, Doctor of Philosophy in Philology, Associate Professor Seyfal Hasanov, Chief of the Secretariat of the President of ANAS, Doctor of Philosophy in Political Sciences, Associate Professor Eldar Amirov and relevant guests have attended the meeting.
The meeting was opened by the President of ANAS, Academician Ramiz Mehdiyev. Noting that the Patriotic War, which began on September 27 of the last year, ended with a great victory under the leadership of President of Azerbaijan, triumphant Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev, the head of the Academy stressed that this victory has a special place in the history of our country. The President of ANAS stressed the importance of increasing the efficiency of scientific research in order to fulfill the tasks set by the country's leadership to Azerbaijani science.
A number of issues were considered at the meeting of the Presidium, and relevant decisions were made after extensive discussions. In particular, doctor of economic sciences, professor Nazim Muzaffarli (Imanov) approved to the post of general director of the Institute of Economics of ANAS, academician Govhar Bakhshaliyeva to the Institute of Oriental Studies of ANAS named after academician Ziya Bunyadov, corresponding member of ANAS Artegin Salamzade to the general director of the Institute of Architecture and Art of ANAS (economics.com.az).
