On September 27, 2021, held a series of events in Belarus to commemorate our martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan on the Day of Remembrance. The event, held at the Azerbaijani Embassy in Belarus, was attended by Vice President of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, Academician Ibrahim Guliyev and Director of the Institute of Economics, Professor Nazim Muzaffarli (Imanov), representatives of the Azerbaijani Diaspora and embassy staff (AzerTAC)
First, the National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan was played and the memory of our martyrs was commemorated with a minute of silence. Ambassador Ulvi Bakhshaliyev briefed the participants on the provocations committed by Armenia, the events in Tovuz, the rocket fire in Ganja, Barda and other cities and the Patriotic War. He said that the liberation of our lands from Armenian occupation was a historic victory of our people due to the courage and bravery of our Triumphant Army under the wise and decisive leadership of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev. He stressed that 4 UN resolutions, which have not been implemented for almost thirty years, have been implemented by our Army under the leadership of the President Ilham Aliyev for only 44 days. U.Bakhshaliyev said that rapid restoration work was carried out in the liberated territories, Fuzuli airport was built, Zafar road was built, and our cultural facilities were restored in Shusha.
Director of the Institute of Economics of ANAS, prof. Nazim Muzaffarli (Imanov) spoke about the processes taking place in Azerbaijan during the Great Patriotic War and the unification of the people as a fist. He stressed the importance of the Azerbaijani diaspora living in Belarus to gather around our country, as during the 44-day war.
The military attaché of the embassy, Elshan Rahimov, stressed that the Azerbaijani Army has enough strength to ensure the security of our people and protect our territorial integrity.
At the end of the event, was shown a short video reflecting the events of the Great Patriotic War.
At the Azerbaijani House in Belarus held the next event organized by the Embassy, the Congress of Azerbaijani Communities and the Gobustan Diaspora Society to commemorate the martyrs of the Great Patriotic War. At the event, religious figures prayed and gave alms to the memory of our martyrs. In addition to the events, distributed a memorial corner was established in front of the embassy to commemorate the martyrs of the Great Patriotic War, "Kharibulbul" badges and booklets about the 44-day war (economics.com.az).
