On April 8, 2021, held an online meeting with the participation of the director of the Institute of Economics of ANAS, Doctor of Economics, professor Nazim Muzaffarli and the head of the department “Socio-economic problems of living standards”, Ph.D. in Economics, associate professor Rasmiyya Abdullayeva, the head of the Azerbaijan office of the World Health Organization (WHO) Hande Harmanci and Vugar Mammadov, Doctor of Medical Sciences, First Vice-President of the World Medical Law Association coordinator of the project of the WHO “Strengthening the auxiliary technology sector” .
At the meeting discussed the current state of Azerbaijan's healthcare system, health economics, compulsory health insurance, increasing the efficiency of public health expenditures, as well as opportunities for future cooperation between the Institute of Economics of ANAS and the World Health Organization in Azerbaijan (economics.com.az).
