On January 25, 2021, held the next online scientific seminar at the Institute of Economics of ANAS. Opening the seminar, the director of the Institute of Economics of ANAS, Doctor of Economics, professor Nazim Muzaffarli gave information about the main topic of discussion of the event and introduced the speaker
At the seminar listened to a report by Shahin Sadigov, a leading researcher at the Institute, Doctor of Philosophy in Economics, on the “Analysis of the Industrial Competitiveness Index (ICI) and ways to improve Azerbaijan's position in this index.” The researcher spoke about the essence of the industrial competitiveness index, the methodology for determining it and Azerbaijan's position in the international ranking of this index. It was noted that the industry competitiveness index is an indicator of the level of contribution of this sector for development of the country. This index shows the level of success of the country's industry in the production and sale of manufactured products in the domestic and foreign markets, and, as a result, shows the contribution to structural change and development.
