The head of the Post-Conflict Territorial Rehabilitation Research Center met with IDPs

  The Institute of Economics of ANAS Head of Post-Conflict Territorial Rehabilitation Scientific Center, corresponding member of ANAS, Doctor of Economic Sciences, Professor Akif Musayev recently visited a number of villages and settlements of IDPs in Karabakh, visited the families of martyrs and veterans and met with IDPs.
  The meetings focused on the glorious and historic victory of the victorious Azerbaijani army in the 44-day war, and were held extensive talks on the restoration of the liberated territories, the return of IDPs to their ancestral lands, the settlement of the population, the future socio-economic development of the region.
  It was noted that, as Mr. President stated, will soon be restored our liberated territories, will return the life to Karabakh and will become a place paradise. Therefore, there were carried out wide discussions in the society on the restoration of territories, settlement policy, in particular, the form of restoration of villages, settlements and cities, the organization of the return of people to their villages as soon as possible. Proposals such as settlement in villages, reorganization of small villages with water shortages, road and infrastructure problems, construction of new large settlements, forms of land reform are now very interesting to everyone. During the meetings, it became clear once again that the IDPs want to return to their homes as soon as possible, and most of them prefer to return to their native villages.
  As it is known, systematic restoration and reconstruction works will be carried out in the liberated territories, the population will be resettled, and will be developed the economy of the region with great potential. Post-conflict Territorial Rehabilitation Scientific Center of the Institute of Economics of ANAS also intends to contribute and support the government's activities in this field with its scientific research. The center will conduct a comprehensive study of the restoration and reconstruction process, the socio-economic issues of rehabilitation of settlements, reconstruction of infrastructure and life support systems, repatriation of the population to their permanent places of residence and other similar problems. Not only employees of the Institute, but also specialists of other institutions, as well as independent experts will be involved in the work of the Scientific Center (economics.com.az).
