Leading research fellow of the Institute of Economics of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, PhD in Economics, Associate Professor Nasimi Ahmadov participated in the international virtual training course on "Macroeconomic Management in Resource Rich Countries" organized by the Joint Vienna Institute of Austria and the Institute for Capacity Development of the International Monetary Fund on November 30-December 11, 2020
Originally scheduled to be presented in Austria, the course was presented online due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The two-week course discussed macroeconomic policy issues and challenges faced by resource-rich countries. Participants were provided with an understanding of the macroeconomics of growth and diversification, fiscal policy management, macroeconomic policy coordination and public-sector asset management in resource rich countries. The course was held in an atmosphere of interesting and useful discussions (economics.com.az).
