On July 24, 2020, with the financial support of the Council for State Support to Non-Governmental Organizations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Public Union of Economists of Turkic Speaking States held a webinar on "Compulsory health insurance is a guarantee of your health" through the ZOOM program. Ph.D. in Economics, associate member Rasmiyya Abdullayeva, chairwoman of the Public Union of Economists of Turkic-Speaking Countries, made an introductory speech and gave detailed information about the importance of compulsory health insurance
Director of the Institute of Economics of ANAS, Professor Nazim Muzaffali (Imanov) took part in the webinar and made a speech on “Necessity of transition to compulsory medical insurance and its advantages”, associate professor, Ph.D. in Economics Allahyar Muradov spoke on “Compulsory health insurance: world experience” spoke , researchers Samir Mahmudov on “The role of compulsory health insurance in strengthening of social protection” and Malak Aliyeva spoke on “Application of compulsory health insurance in Azerbaijan”. The speakers answered questions about the importance and benefits of compulsory health insurance, world experience, the peculiarities of its formation in Azerbaijan, and held broad discussions.
Along with members of the Public Union of Economists of Turkic-speaking countries, students and teachers of various universities (Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Baku State University, Azerbaijan Economic University, Azerbaijan Technical University, Sumgayit State University, Mingachevir State University, Azerbaijan Cooperation University) took part in the webinar. Also attended the representatives of the media and non-governmental organizations. Corresponding member of ANAS, prof. Akif Musayev, Vice-Rector of Mingachevir State University, prof.
