On March 5, 2020, held the next meeting of the Scientific Council of the Institute of Economics, ANAS. At the meeting discussed a number of issues that chaired by the director of the Institute, Professor Nazim Muzaffarli (Imanov)
First of all, director gave information about the changes in the administration of the Institute. It was stated that by the appropriate orders of the director, the Scientific Secretary of the Institute, Ph.D. Rasmiyya Abdullayeva was dismissed at her own request and became a head of the Department of “Socio-Economic Problems of Living Standards”, and Ph.D. Leyli Allahverdiyeva was appointed Scientific Secretary of the Institute.
The meeting also informed about the decision of the Presidium of ANAS dated February 5, 2020, “On the scientific and organizational activity of the Department of Social Sciences of ANAS in 2019”. It was noted that the decision reflects the activity of the Institute of Economics, ANAS, highly appreciated the interaction of the Institute with government agencies, close participation in the implementation of state programs, researches, carried out activities, exemplary activities of official website economics.com.az. In addition, the Institute of Economics was instructed to closely participate in implementation of strategic roadmap programs and to continue research on improving Azerbaijan's position in international rankings. In the Scientific Council noted that the Institute of Economics these tasks will be the basis of its activities.
At the meeting, the head of the Education Department, assoc.prof., Gulsura Mehdiyeva gave information about the results of admission to the dissertation on preparation for Ph.D. and Doctor of Sciences. Subsequently, the dissertation topics of 3 doctoral and 4 Ph.D. dissertations were widely discussed and approved.
At the meeting, amendments were made to the “Unnamed Individual Scholarship for Young Researchers”, and raised the age limit for scholarships from 30 to 35. According to the decision scientific researcher Gulnara Fataliyeva will be awarded with 100 manat “Unnamed individual scholarship for young researchers” in each month for 1 year by D.Sc., Fuad Qanbarov.
By the decision of the Scientific Council recommended the publication of Rashad Ahmadov's monograph "Social security system in Azerbaijan", assoc.prof., Ramil Aliyev and senior researcher Sevda Mahmudova’s monograph “Development of small business in Azerbaijan”.
Ph.D., assoc.prof., Parviz Hasanov expelled from the Scientific Council due to his transfer to another job.
Members of the Scientific Council congratulated Surma Hasanova, employee of the Institute on her anniversary (economics.com.az).
