On January 17, 2020, at the Institute of Economics of ANAS held a scientific session dedicated to the 90th anniversary of a prominent economist, Doctor of Economics, Professor Madat Allahverdiyev
Opening the event, Director of the Institute of Economics of ANAS, Professor Nazim Muzaffarli characterized the late scientist as a prominent economist, scientist and educator, who made a significant contribution to the development of economic science of Azerbaijan.
At the event head of Department of the Institute of Economics, ANAS, Corresponding Member of ANAS, Professor Shahbaz Muradov made a speech on “Famous economist and great scientific organizer”, Ph.D. in Economics, associate professor, Jalil Guliyev made a speech on “The deployment of productive forces in Azerbaijan and the first researcher on the use of labor resources” and Doctor of Philosophy in Economics, associate professor Amirkhan Babashov, made a speech on “The scientist with a great contribution for the training of highly qualified economists in Azerbaijan”.
At the meeting also noted that M.Allahverdiyev did not hesitate to open the most urgent problems and priorities of the economic problems of Azerbaijan, but he was able to innovate the solution of these problems with his talent and hard works.
Professor M. Allahahverdiyev had a great reputation among the scientific community, especially economists too. His prestige has given him the talent of a scientist, his unwavering support for scholars, and his principled position in controversial issues. The scientist inherited a rich scientific heritage after him.
