On July 4, 2019, held an international scientific conference entitled “Azerbaijan-China: Social Issues of the Economy” at the Institute of Economics, ANAS
Academician Isa Habibbeyli, Academician Secretary of ANAS, Academician Nargiz Akhundova, Head of International Relations Department of the Presidium of ANAS, Ph.D. in Biology, Associate Professor Esmira Alirzayeva, employees of the Institute of Economics and Chinese scientists attended the event.
The conference was opened by the director of the Institute, Doctor of Economic Sciences, Professor Nazim Imanov spoke about the existing cooperation, joint conferences and projects between the Institute of Economics of ANAS and the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS).
Then, academician Isa Habibbayli spoke about the development of economic, cultural and scientific relations between Azerbaijan and China. He said recent Beijing's high economic development has turned it into a mighty country in Asia and around the world. He stressed that relations between the two countries were laid on the official visit of Heydar Aliyev to China in 1994, and relations with President Ilham Aliyev's visit to this country in 2015 were further strengthened.
Then, Li Peil, Director of Academy of Social Policy and Legal Studies of CASS, Jen Xuanjin director of China's SEA Sociology Institute and others made speeches at the event . Then Head of the department of the Institute of Economics of ANAS, Doctor of Philosophy in Economics Leyli Allahverdiyeva made a presentation on "Comparative analysis of the Network Readiness Index in China and Azerbaijan" and held interesting discussions around the speeches (economics.com.az).
