The study is devoted to the effective balance between self-regulation of the economy and its state regulation. Based on the methodology developed by the ANAS Institute of Economics, a level of liberalism-dirigisme of the 95 economies is comparatively assessed.
Latest indices of leftness-rightness of the economy are calculated for 95 coun-tries which are classified according to 5 proposed economic models.
The necessity of further liberalization of the Azerbaijani economy is theoretically justified, and the main directions of economic reforms for the coming years are determined. The authors hope that the theoretical innovations and practical recommendations of the research will be of interest and useful for economists and policy-makers (economics.com.az).
