On June 28, 2018, at the next meeting of the Scientific Council, which was chaired by Nazim Muzaffarli, Director of the Institute of Economics of ANAS, held a competition for holding scientific positions in the Department of “Finance, monetary and credit Policy"
Ph.D. in Economics, Associate Professor, Allahyar Muradov gave information about the candidates. Held discussions on each applicant's scientific activity. Two candidates, Tanriverdi Pasha and Ali Huseynov, claimed to be the head of the department. Each of them were listened.
Then, held a secret ballot in the Scientific Council to hold the scientific position claimed for each candidates. 
According to the results, none of the plaintiffs were elected as a head of department because they could not get 2/3 votes as required by the rules. According to other results, Aghadadash Gafarov, elected head scientific worker, Ramil Aliyev, Sulduz Salimov and Yashar Mammadov, elected leading scientific workers, Vugar Bayramov and Gulnara Mammadova, elected senior scientific researcher, Ilgar Gasimov and Matanet Jafarova, elected scientific workers, Fidan Sadikhli, elected a small scientific worker (economics.com.az).
