Held competition for holding scientific positions at the Institute of Economics, ANAS

  On June 21, 2018, held a meeting of the Scientific Council of the Institute of Economics, ANAS. At the meeting chaired by the Director of the Institute, Professor Nazim Muzaffarli started a competition for scientific positions. Academician-Secretary of the Department of Social Sciences of ANAS academician Nargiz Akhundova also participated at the meeting of the Scientific Council.
  For the first time in ANAS the competition was held on new rules. N.Muzaffarli spoke about the legal bases of the organization of competition. It was noted that the relevant Competition Commission, established under the order of the director of the Institute of Economics, examined all the documents and determined the list of the applicants who were eligible to participate in the competition. In addition, the main and final decision for pretendants are made regarding by secret ballot in the Scientific Board.
  Then the Chairman of the Competition Commission, Ph.D. in Economics, Associate Professor Allahyar Muradov gave information about the pretendants of the department of “Theoretical basis of economic policy and history of economic thought”. Held discussions on each applicant's scientific activities, they asked to addressed questions and heard their opinions at the meeting. Then a secret ballot was held in order to hold the scientific position claimed for each candidate. According to the results, prof., Gulshan Yuzbashiyeva were elected head of the department, Agha-Kerim Hajiyev elected head scientific worker, Mirzabayova Jala, Fataliyeva Aygun, Shirinova Rasmiyya selected senior scientific worker, Samandarov Seyfaddin and Mustafayev Asif elected leading scientific worker, Abbasova Vusala elected scientific worker.
  In the second half of the day, at the Scientific Council held a competition for scientific positions in the "Development Problems of Service’s areas". According to the results Abdullayev Kamran was elected as the leading scientific worker, Agayarova Akifa and Mammadova Ulker were elected scientific workers of the Institute. The other 5 candidates were not elected for their positions because they were unable to collect the required number of votes at the Scientific Council (economics.com.az).
