On May 10, 2018, held the scientific-practical conference on "Heydar Aliyev is the founder of economic development strategy of independent Azerbaijan" dedicated to the 95th anniversary of National Leader Heydar Aliyev, founder of the independent Azerbaijan state at the Institute of Economics, ANAS.
Opening the event, director of the Institute of Economics, Professor Nazim Muzaffarli noted the strategic political and economic reforms undertaken by the National Leader in the 1990s on the basis of today's development. He noted that Heydar Aliyev had time ahead of his vision and made decisive and timely steps in the direction of reforms and laid the foundations for future socio-economic development of the country. On his initiative, for the first time in the post-Soviet space, were made very successful land reforms in Azerbaijan, even some CIS countries still could not make reforms. N. Muzaffarli characterized H.Aliyev as a prominent statesman with high intellect.
Then Professor, Corresponding Member of ANAS, Shahbaz Muradov, Professor Tofig Huseynov, Professor Isa Aliev and Professor Rena Sultanova made speeches at the meeting (economics.com.az).
