At the Discussion Club "Creative Economy held the discussion on "Society's Statistical Confidence: Reality, Problems and Perspectives"
On April 19, 2018, held a meeting with the delegation of the State Statistical Committee of Azerbaijan within the framework of cooperation 
with state bodies at the Institute of Economics, ANAS. Held the meeting on "Public confidence in statistics: reality, problems and perspectives” at the Discussion Club "Creative Economy". 
After presenting the guests, director of the Institute, Professor Nazim Muzaffarli, Deputy Chairman of the State Statistical Committee, Ph.D. in Economics, Yusif Yusifov made a report. He talked about confidence on statistics, world experience in this field, different approaches to stakeholders in statistical data, community demand for statistics, statistical agencies' tasks, statistical system management and statistical data quality problems.
Elman Gasimzadeh, head of the Department “Price Statistics” of SSCAR, informed about the introduction of innovations in the field of price statistics and its key features. In the discussions, attended head of department the “National Statistics and Macroeconomic Statistics” of SSCAR Nuru Suleymanov, the guests answered questions of employees of the Institute of Economics.
Then, head of department of the Institute of Economics, Professor Tofig Huseynov, head scientific worker, professor Tarbiz Aliyev, leading scientific worker, Ph.D. in Economics, Mezaddin Ayyubov spoke about the development of statistics in our country, the importance and role of statistics in recent years, as well as a number of problems in this field and expressed their views on concrete issues that are crucial to the solution. There was an interesting discussion on the topic, particularly in the field of collecting and processing statistical data and methodology of computation (economics.com.az).
