On November 23, 2016, the director of the Institute of Economics, Professor Nazim Muzaffarli (Imanov) attended the International Conference “One belt – one road” in the People's Republic of China (PRC). Nazim Muzaffarli (Imanov) gave information about the real and future role of Azerbaijan in the international passenger and cargo transformation, including gave broad information about realized infrastructure projects in Azerbaijan with the purpose of developing transport corridors in intercountries. In the second half of the day, he made a speech in the conference “One belt – one road: the cooperation in the science and education areas”, which held with the organization of Shanghai University, talked about the peculiarities of the state policy in the areas of science and education in Azerbaijan, about the cooperation problems between Azerbaijan and Chinese institutions and firstly, among academic economic institutes, including about the opportunities of carrying out joint investigations.
