On 14 September, 2016, held on the next meeting of the Scientific Council of the Institute of Economics
At the meeting were discussed a number of issues, which took place under the chairmanship of director of the Institute of Economics, Professor Nazim Muzaffarli (Imanov). First, members of the Council of the Institute congratulated – Ph.D. in Economics Adila Gozalova and Ph.D. in Economics Akif Asgarov with the 65th year anniversary, presented their diplomas.
At the meeting, Deputy Chairman of the Scientific Council, Ph.D. in Economics Allahyar Muradov, gave information about the comments and recommendations made by the Institute for “Economic reforms: analyzed and proposed initiatives” that presented by the government. 
He noted that in a short time prepared comments and recommendations by the Institute on this document have been submitted in a high level, and was welcomed by the relevant government agencies.
In the Scientific Council Ph.D. in Economics A.Muradov gave information about the 6-month report of scientific and organizational activities of the Institute.
At the meeting discussed the changings in the structure of the institute. After long discussions, was decided the cancellation of the department of "Analytical information and publication", and setting up two departments – “Education” and “Methodological and econometric problems of the state regulation of economy”, and sending application to the Presidium of ANAS.
