On June 22, 2016, has carried out the following scientific seminar at the Institute of Economics ANAS
Under the chairmanship of professor Ali Nuriyev the Associated Member of ANAS has carried out the following scientific discussion of the theses by two candidates on the scientific degree Doctor of Philosophy in Economics. Scientific Counsellor of the Scientific Seminar Ph.D. in Economics Sevda Seyidova gave information about them
Firstly, Imran Balamirza Amirov candidate for a degree at the Institute of Economics ANAS gave information about his dissertation work on the theme of “Development of steel industry of Azerbaijan and perfection of interregional economic relation” (on the specialty of “Sectoral economy”) (Scientific adviser is Doctor of Economics, professor, Rena Sultanova).
Then the pretendant Imran Balamirza Amirov gave widely information about the content of thesis. He based the urgency of dissertation work, investigation level of the problem, its purposes and duties, also noted the main scientific innovation of the thesis and spoke about the conclusion and recommendations with substantiating the theoretical and practical importance of dissertation work.
Reviewers – Doctor of Economics, Farhad Rahmanov, Ph.D. in Economics Agil Asadov noted the urgency of dissertation work, investigation level of the problem, its purposes and duties.
Then the next pretendant Farahim Ali Valiyev candidate for a degree of the Azerbaijan University Architecture and Construction gave broad information about his dissertation work on the theme of “Formation of development of the 
mechanism of project management and development perspectives (in the sample of house construction of Azerbaijan)” (on the specialty of “Sectoral economy”) (Scientific adviser Doctor of Economics, Vasif Shiraliyev). He based the urgency of dissertation work, investigation level of the problem, its purposes and duties, also noted the main scientific innovation of the thesis and spoke about the conclusion and recommendations with substantiating the theoretical and practical importance of dissertation work. 
Reviewers – Doctor of Economics, Ramiz Isgenderov and Ph.D. in Economics, Ramil Aliyev gave a note about the urgency of the work and noted that the dissertation work has carried out in the level of according requirements, but beside these they added their considerations and thoughts. At the end, with an open vote the members of scientific seminar recommended the dissertation work to the next defense stage (economics.com.az).
