On May 17, 2016, at the Dissertation Council of the Institute of Economics, ANAS defensed of dissertation by the Turkish citizen.
The meeting held under the chairmanship of director of the Institute of Economy, Professor, Nazim Muzaffarli (Imanov) discussed the dissertation work by Baloghlu Mutlu Huseyn on the specialty 5310.01 – “World Economy”, on the theme of “Impact of the Baku–Tbilisi–Ceyhan (BTC) pipeline to the socio-economic development of Turkey” on the scientific degree Philosophic Doctor in Economics (Scientific adviser - Doctor of Economics, professor Sabir Jumshidov).
Scientific Councilor Ph.D. in Economics, Fargana Musayeva gave information about defender and then Baloghlu Mutlu Huseyn spoke about the urgency of the work, investigation level of the problem, duties and purposes of the work, the main scientific innovation of the work, the context of investigation, and talked about the conclusions and purposes.
Later, the candidate answered the questions addressed to him, by the members of the council. Appointed official opponents - Doctor of Economics, Dunyamali Valiyev and Ph.D. in 
Economics, Agil Eyvazov reasonably gave their suggestions and comments. The leading organization is Azerbaijan State Economic University. Pretendant Baloghlu Mutlu Huseyn gave broad answer to the questions and comments by opponents, leading agencies and responders.
Pretendant’s dissertation work meet the requirements of the High Attestation Commission under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan. And at the end Baloghlu Mutlu Huseyn’s was confirmed with the close votes by the members of the Dissertation Council.
