On 7-11 March, 2016, with technical and financial supports by the Turkish International Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA) a group of employees of the Institute of Economics were on a business trip in Turkey.
The delegation led by Deputy Director of the Institute of Economics, Ph.D. in Economics, Allahyar Muradov, including Scientific Counselor Ph.D. in Economics, Rasmiyya Abdullayeva, leading scientific workers Ph.D. in Philosophy, Mais Gulaliyev, Ph.D. in Economics, Rufat Efendiyev, Ph.D. in Economics, Emin Mammadzadeh, Ph.D. in Economics, Samira Aghayeva were in meetings in a number of ministries and universities in the cities of Ankara and Istanbul.
In Istanbul, the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey, the Central Banking Research and Training Center in Istanbul, Participation Banks Association of Turkey, Istanbul University, Istanbul Commerce University, Istanbul Technical University, Istanbul Sabahattin Zaim University, Gazi 
University in Ankara, Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Turkey, Ministry of Development and Economic Models and Strategic Studies’ departments, the Department of Economic Development Ministry, including discussed the relationships and cooperation issues with Murat Chetin the chairman of the Caucasus and Central Asian Republics of TIKA.
The main directions of cooperation are: development of joint articles; addition of well-known economists of Azerbaijan to the editorial board of magazines published in Turkey, also addition of well-known economists of Turkey to the editorial board of magazines published in Azerbaijan, carrying out joint conferences, symposiums, seminars; held on the 1st Baku Forum of economists of the Turkic-speaking countries, carrying out joint research works with relevant ministries and research centers; realization of Doctoral student’s exchange programs among the universities.
Connection with the works to be carried out within the framework of future cooperation Scientific Counsellor of the Institute of Economics, Ph.D. in Economics Rasmiyya Abdullayeva on the decision of the head of the Institute appointed coordinator on mentioned issues.
To note that on February, 2015, in Baku, at the Institute of Economics Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences and TIKA held the conference on the theme “Islamic finance: present situation and future expectations”.
The main objectives of the cooperation between two institutions are the continuation of scientific cooperation, strengthening the scientific relations between the two countries, realization of the fundamental, long-term researches and make their contribution to the development of the economy of the countries.(economics.com.az)
