At the meeting has discussed the integration of scientific journals to the international basis in Azerbaijan, and the opportunities of publication the scientific works of our scientists in the journals with impact factors.
On March 04, 2016, held the following meeting at the Scientific Council of the Institute of Economics ANAS. The meeting was under the chairmanship of Professor Nazim Muzaffarli (Imanov) and the employees of our institute congratulated the 80th anniversary of the head of department Ph.D. in Economics, Jalil Guliyev,
with the 65th anniversary of the head of department Ph.D. in Technical Sciences, with the 55th anniversary of Ph.D. in Economics Matanat Rizayeva, and they were awarded with diplomas and prizes.
Then at the meeting, academician Fikrat Aliyev spoke about the integration of scientific journals to the international basis in Azerbaijan, and the rules of publication of scientific works by our scientists in the journals with impact factors. Academician said that instead of there are more than 100 thousands journals 
in the world, but just 12700 journals are included to the Thomson Reuters. At the Thomson Reuters registered 12665 journals, 12000 annual conference, 61 thousands books, including more that 1 billion references in one system, and scientific works of 110 years. Academician Fikrat Aliyev noted that 18 of 363 scientific journals in Azerbaijan meet the international standards, and just 4 of them have indexed by the 
Thomson Reuters Web of Science. They are “Applied and Computational Mathematics”, “TWMS Journal of Pure and Applied Mathematics”, “Khazar Journal of Humanities and Social Sciences” and “Azerbaijan Journal of Mathematics”. 26 scientists from 17 countries are the member of the editorial board. The same journal got an impact factor with the index 0.633, in 2010.
After the interesting lecture academician Fikrat Aliyev, spoke about the integration of scientific journals to the international basis in Azerbaijan, and the 
opportunities of publication the scientific works of our scientists in the journals with impact factors.
At the Scientific Council, Ph.D. in Economics, Rufat Afandiyev the manager on investigation projects of the Institute of Economics, ANAS, made a speech “About the international scientific projects of the Institute”. He gave information about the carried out projects, and at the recent time carrying out perspective 
works in these spheres by the Institute. In his speech, he noted that the Institute establishes the corporations with the potential partners - France, Germany, the United Arab Emirates and Moroccan embassies, as well as the German Academic Exchange Service, UNEP and UNFPA programs of UN, such as the Asian Development Bank and etc. The speaker said the conditions of the international organizations on projects, the work principles with them, the main difficulties and perspective opportunities in this sphere (economics.com.az)
