The aim of carrying out discussions is the popularization of science and scientific knowledge, the promotion them in a wide range of media, high level of their organization and etc. problems were discussed. At the event attended the senior officials of public relations academicians of the institutions Head of Public Relations Department, Presidium of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences and the Organization of Popularization of Science.
President of ANAS, academician Akif Alizadeh talked about the popularization of science and scientific knowledge, promotion them in a wide range of media, high level of their organization and etc. problems. Also talked about the role of the media in the popularization and promotion of science and scientific knowledge. Especially, noted that one of the most important areas of journalism is the development of scientific journalism, and preparation of professional writers in this area, popularization of scientific investigation of scientists’, high level organization of scientific PR, informing the public about the actual scientific achievements. 
Academician-secretary of ANAS, academician Rasim Aliguliyev said that created wider opportunities in the field of mass media with the scientific and technical progresses. And noted that E-news agencies and newspapers, news sites and portals, Internet radio and Internet-TV channels, in short, are the main means of transmission of operational information in electronic media. He also spoke about the importance of speedy information exchange, develop the web-sites of the institutions and organizations of ANAS, establishing a high-level PR policy.
