Meeting with the professor Nargiz Akhundova

At the Institute of Economy held on a meeting with the professor Nargiz Akhundova the academician-secretary of ANAS
On May 15, 2015, at the Institute of Economy held on a business meeting with a group of specialists of the Institute and professor Nargiz Akhundova, the corresponding member of ANAS, the academician-secretary of the Social Sciences Department of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan.
At the meeting participated Akif Musayev, the corresponding member of ANAS, Shahin Musayev the deputy director of the Institute of Oriental Studies of ANAS and Eldar Ismayilov the director of the Institute of Strategic Studies of the Caucasus.
Director of the Institute, professor N.Muzaffarli gave broad information about the “Leftness (Rightness) Indexes of Economy” prepared on the base of the new methodology that gives opportunities to assess the impact of the state to the socio-economic development. At the institute group of experts have used from these indexes and according to the rightness-leftness degrees classified 37 countries’ economy.
Differing from other investigations in the field of inter-country comparisons, these indexes allow us to determine which economic policy should be given to priority instead of determining which country is weak or strong (“good” or “bad”).
The members of expert group A.Muradov R.Abdullayeva, M.Gulaliyev, E.Mammadzadeh, F.Musayeva and R.Efendiyev talked about the essence of the same idea and opened the new opportunities for the theoretical and applied researches of economy, also shared his thoughts on the expected supports by the leader of ANAS for continuation of according investigations.
In the meeting academician-secretary Nargis Akhundova said that she liked the new idea and noted that will do the best for its realization. At the end of the meeting presented the book of “The social-oriented economy in the rightness-leftness systems” by professor Nazim Muzaffarli. (economics.com.az).
