Academician A.Alizadeh met with a number of specialists
of the Institute of Economy
On May 1, 2015, the president of ANAS, academician Akif Alizadeh met with a number of employees of the Institute of Economy. Professor Nazim Muzaffarli (Imanov) the director of the Institute of Economy gave information about the new methodology that assesses the impact of the government intervention to the socio-economic development and about the Indexes of the Leftness (Rightness) of Economy that creates on the base of the same methodology.
At the Institute were used these indexes and according to leftness and rightness indexes have classified the economy of 37 countries. Differing from other investigations in the sphere of intercountry confrontation these indexes gave us the opportunity for determination what kind of economic policy we should prefer but not to choose which country is stronger or weaker (“better” of “worse”).
The members of expert group A.Muradov, R.Abdullayeva, M.Gulaliyev, E.Mammedzadeh, F.Musayeva and R.Afandiyev talked about the maintenance of that idea and about the new opened opportunities in front of economic theory and applied investigations, also they shared their views about any and expected supports for continuation of according investigations.
At the end of the frank and businesslike meeting academician Akif Alizadeh noted that he liked the new idea and will do the best and closely support the Institute for its realization.
