GENERAL INFORMATION ABOUT THE JOURNAL
Journal of Economic Growth and Social Welfare publishes original scientific papers, scientific information, up-to-date reviews, and case studies. Only the authors are responsible for the content and writing of the manuscript. The content of the manuscript must be original and compiled in accordance with the guidelines of the journal. Papers are published in Azerbaijani, English, Russian and Turkish. Manuscripts must be grammatically and linguistically correct in order to avoid problems that may arise in the process of receiving the manuscripts.
The journal is published 4 times a year (quarterly).
Submission of the manuscript to the Editorial Office
Manuscripts must be sent in electronic form to the e-mail of the journal. The manuscript must be submitted in a perfectly edited form. Manuscripts that do not meet the requirements of paper format are not received.
Authors must submit the manuscript in electronic form together with the Author's Declaration (must be signed and scanned after it is completed and printed electronically). It must be sent to the e-mail of the journal.
The authors are fully responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of the manuscript (as well as its revised versions and the cover letter sent to reviewers).
The manuscript of the paper must not contain any information identifying its author(s). Avoid any reference to yourself or try to minimize it. If you are referring to your own work, be sure to refer to your work in the third person; for example, “We have determined that, (Mammadli and Guliyev, 2012)” should be replaced by “Mammadli and Guliyev (2012) have determined that…”
Guidelines for reviewing and publishing manuscripts
Evaluation by the Editor-in-Chief – The editor-in-chief checks whether the manuscript is appropriate for the journal, enough original and interesting. If these are not available, the manuscript may be rejected without being reviewed.
Papers submitted to the Editorial Office are considered by the Editorial Board. The principle of mutual confidentiality is applied to the manuscripts submitted to the journal, which means that the authors and reviewers are anonymous to each other during the reviewing process. Papers that meet the requirements of the journal are sent by the Editorial Board to at least two confidential reviewers. Reviews are then submitted to the journal with a recommendation for acceptance (without change, minor revision, major revision) or rejection. The Editor-in-Chief considers the reviews before making a general decision. If the reviews differ significantly (in case, one is positive and the other is negative), the editor may send the manuscript to a third reviewer or make a final decision. The editor decides on the publication of papers, taking into account the reviews, the scientific significance of the paper and the recommendations of the members of the Editorial Board. The names of the reviewers remain confidential and the reviews are kept in the archives for five years.
The reviews can be formulated as:
- The paper is accepted;
- The paper requires minor revision;
- The paper requires major revision;
- The paper is rejected.
The Editorial Staff communicates with the author of the paper only by e-mail. The author receives information on the decision of the Editorial Board on the paper by e-mail.
