Chairman of the Council Ph.D. in Economics, Associate Professor Ramil Aliyev said that the Patriotic War, which began on September 27, 2020, under the leadership of Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev, ended with a glorious victory. As part of the 44-day military operation, the Azerbaijani Army defeated the armed forces established by Armenia for 30 years and achieved a great victory. The Patriotic War, which put an end to 30 years of longing for the homeland, will always be celebrated by our people, even after years and centuries.
It was noted at the event that such rights struggles are not without losses. In the war, 2,783 servicemen of our Armed Forces were killed, more than a hundred servicemen are still missing, more than a thousand servicemen were injured and lost their health. Our occupied lands have been liberated at the cost of the blood and lives of our heroic martyrs, soldiers and officers, veterans. Azerbaijan always appreciates its bravery sons and daughters, respects the spirit of all our martyrs and honors their memory. The heroism of our soldiers and officers who fought heroically in the Great Patriotic War, waved the Azerbaijani flag in our liberated lands and sacrificed their lives for the territorial integrity of our country will live forever in the memory of our people. Young people support the policy of our state and understand their responsibility very well. Young scientists are also determined to contribute to the revival of Karabakh and the development of its economy with their researches (economics.org.az).
