A republican scientific-practical conference on "Heydar Aliyev and the Sustainable Development Strategy of the Republic of Azerbaijan" was held on May 5-6, 2026, organized by the Heydar Aliyev Academy of the State Security Service (SSS), dedicated to the 103rd anniversary of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev
The event was attended by senior officials of the State Security Service, members of the Milli Majlis, heads of higher education institutions, professors and teaching staff, also veterans of security agencies and cadets of the academy. The conference, which was also attended by employees of the MSE Institute of Economics, continued its work with section meetings.
The conference proceedings were published in book form. The volume also features scientific articles authored by researchers of the Institute of Economics of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan. Among them are the article “Directions for the Development of Industrial Sectors in the Liberated Territories” by Doctor of Philosophy in Economics, Associate Professor Mahir Zeynalov, and the article “A Comparative Analysis of the Health Status of the Population in the Residential Areas of Azerbaijan” by Doctor of Philosophy in Economics, Associate Professor Jala Aliyeva. These contributions address important issues related to regional economic development and public health, enriching the scientific value of the publication.
