On April 24, 2026, the defense of dissertation submitted by the Institute's Ph.D. student Piriyev Gahraman Mahammad for the scientific degree of Doctor of Philosophy in Economics on "The Impact of global economic crises on the priorities of economic science (in the sample of the 2020 Pandemic)" in the specialty 5307.01 - "Economic Theory" was held at the meeting of the Dissertation Council of the Institute of Economics.
At the meeting chaired by Professor Nazim Muzaffarli, the applicant G. Piriyev made a comprehensive presentation on the main content of his dissertation work. Listened to the opinions of official opponents. The applicant answered the questions addressed to him. The members of the Council made speeches and expressed their opinions on dissertation, and held discussions. Finally, the dissertation work was approved by the Dissertation Council through a secret ballot (economics.org.az).
