By decision of the Scientific Council of the Institute of Economics of the Ministry of Science and Education, trainings on "Improving the scientific level of the dissertation and adapting it to current requirements" have been organized for doctoral and dissertation students of the Institute. The trainings will be continued until December 11, 2025.
The first training was conducted by Asif Mustafayev, a leading researcher at the Institute of Economics, Associate Professor, on the topic "Problem formulation in a dissertation, determination of the subject and research question."
Ellada Khankishiyeva, Head of Education Department of the Institute of Economics, gave an interview to the website economics.org.az noted that writing a dissertation is a complex research process and requires a systematic approach. A dissertation implies a deep scientific contribution, originality, the choice of the right methodology, and strict adherence to requirements. Observations show that 40% of doctoral and dissertation students face difficulties due to insufficient preparation at the initial stage. Dissertation writing trainings organized by the Institute of Economics with the participation of its scientific staff help to establish the structure of the scientific work, avoid methodological errors, and properly distribute efforts at each stage.
