Published the book "Formation of the Information Society in Azerbaijan (Liberalism and Competitiveness of Information Services)" by Doctor of Economics, Associate Professor Leyli Allahverdiyeva, Scientific Cancellor of the Institute of Economics MSE.
The book is dedicated to the study of the issues of liberalization and competitiveness of information services in the country with the aim of forming an information society in Azerbaijan. Developed the study proposes a new methodological approach to measuring the degree of liberalization of the process of providing information services through various means - the Liberalization (dirigisme) Index of Information Services. This allows us to measure the degree of liberalization of information services in some countries, including Azerbaijan, and assess its economic impacts.
In the study also assessed the quality of information services in Azerbaijan as an important aspect of their competitiveness. Conducted a comparative analysis of the level of network readiness, which means great importance for the formation of an information society in the country.
The author hopes that the achieved results of the study will be interesting and useful for economists and decision-makers in the field of economic policy (economics.org.az).
