Presented the final report of the scientific-research project "Preparation of incentive and support mechanisms for increasing the attractiveness of Shamakhi region for private investments" at the Executive Power of Shamakhi District. The event was attended by the leadership of the Executive Power, specialists from the Institute of Economics of the Ministry of Science and Education, and representatives of state institutions.
The head of the Executive Power, Tahir Mammadov, spoke about the infrastructure projects and business opportunities implemented in the district and emphasized the importance of the investigation.
Director General of the Institute of Economics, Professor Nazim Muzaffarli spoke about the main essence and goals of the project and noted that the modern socio-economic development of Shamakhi is carried out based on scientific foundations.
The study analyzed the economic potential, business environment and investment opportunities of the region, conducted surveys among entrepreneurs, and prepared proposals such as the establishment of the Nagorno-Shirvan Regional Innovative Development Center (SME clusters) in Shamakhi, the expansion of agroparks, and the establishment of industrial and service districts.
In his speech, Department Head of the MSE Institute of Economics, Associate Professor Famil Rustamov brought to participants’ attention of recommendations on the procurement and packaging of local products, the development of tourism, and the management of household waste.
The results of the project were published in a book and presented to the Executive Power. It was noted that this research could be useful not only for Shamakhi, but also for the socio-economic development of other regions (economics.org.az).
