At the meeting of the Scientific Council, masters were awarded with the certificates and heard reports from scientific departments

  Held the next meeting of the Scientific Council of the Institute of Economics of the Ministry of Science and Education on December 18, 2024. A number of issues were discussed at the meeting, chaired by Director General, Professor Nazim Muzaffarli. 
  On behalf of the members of the Scientific Council, the Director General congratulated Ulkar Mammadova, a senior researcher at the Institute of Economics, who received the scientific degree of Doctor of Philosophy in Economics by the decision of the Higher Attestation Commission (HAC) under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan. 
  Prof. N. Muzaffarli gave information about the scientific and research internship organized for master's students of Baku Business University (BBU) at the Institute of Economics, and spoke about the importance of cooperation between scientific institutions and universities, the integration of science and education, and the benefits of implementing joint projects. 
  Head of the scientific research practice, PhD, associate professor Tariyel Gurbanov made a report and informed about the high-level organization of the course and the involvement of leading scientists of the Institute of Economics in this process. He noted that 10 of second-year master's students of BBU participated in the trainings organized by scientists of the Institute of Economics from November 15 to December 13, 2024. The trainings related to the COP29 events were distant from November 15 to 25, and then was offline. 
  A cooperation agreement has been signed between the Institute of Economics and Baku Business University (BBU) for conduction the courses. According to the agreement, BBU pays money to the Institute of Economics for paid training courses. Research-based training and practical classes have been organized for master's students. They have also had the opportunity to closely familiarize themselves with the fundamental scientific research work conducted at the Institute of Economics, and even wrote scientific articles. Then, BBU undergraduate students who participated in the training and showed high results were presented with certificates from the Institute of Economics. 
  At the meeting of the Scientific Council, heard reports on important scientific results obtained by scientific departments based on research conducted during 2024. The heads of scientific departments made speeches on the main scientific results of the research topics they lead, answered questions, held extensive discussions, and made suggestions and recommendations.
