On October 10, 2024, at the Nakhchivan State University (NSU), the Ministry of Economy of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, the Institute of Economics of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Lazzet Group LLC jointly organized the conference held on "Development of export-oriented industry: industrialization policy and infrastructural facilities" at NSU
At the conference, participated the general director of MSE Institute of Economics, prof. Nazim Muzaffarli, deputy director Shakir Aliyev, department heads - prof., Fuad Ganbarov, Assoc.prof., Allahyar Muradov, Assoc.prof., Mahir Zeynalov, Assoc.prof., Famil Rustamov and Assoc.prof., Parviz Hasanov.
Before the conference, the guests laid flowers in front of the monument of the Great Leader in the main square of Nakhchivan and visited the Heydar Aliyev Museum. In the museum, employees of the MSE Institute of Economics were informed about the life and multifaceted activities of the genius.
At the conference held at the Nakhchivan State University, there was a preview of the exhibition dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic. The exhibition reflecting the historical and cultural monuments of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, its geography and period of National Leader Heydar Aliyev welcomed with interest.
Before the start of the conference, the dear memory of the great leader Heydar Aliyev and the martyrs who died for the territorial integrity and sovereignty of the Republic of Azerbaijan was commemorated. Then was played the National Anthem of Azerbaijan Republic.
Heard opening speeches at the plenary session of the conference. Rector of Nakhchivan State University, Elbrus Isayev, noted that the purpose of the conference provided in the annual activity plan of the higher education institution is the consolidation and systematization of the multi-directional scientific research results of scientists on the relevant topic, and make the long-term perspectives of the national economy more accessible.
Abbas Ismayilov, a deputy of minister of economy of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, temporary executor of ministerial duties, spoke about the importance of the reforms implemented in Azerbaijan regarding to the development of the export-oriented industry and innovations for social development.
Director General of the Institute of Economics of the Ministry of Science and Education, prof. Nazim Muzaffarli gave information about the higher educational institution he leads and talked about the scientific research conducted in the economic field. He also spoke about the importance of the joint cooperation of the Institute he leads with Nakhchivan State University in the field of economics.
He specially noted the economic potential, development prospects, industrial potential and export opportunities of Nakhchivan MR, business environment and entrepreneurship development tendencies, population prosperity, economic and political importance of socio-economic progress of the region.
Teymur Rzayev, the entrepreneur of Lazzet Group LLC, spoke about the development path of the company, which has cooperated with many countries of the world since 1995, and its contribution to the economy of the autonomous republic. It was noted that "Lazzet Group" LLC has close relations with Nakhchivan State University, and graduators of the university are effectively working in the company.
At the conference, heard speeches by the professor of MSE Institute of Economics, Fuad Ganbarov, on the "Impact of Zangazur Corridor on the economy of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic", and heard speech by associate professor Javadkhan Gasimov, head of "International trade and management" department of NSU, on "Development of export-oriented industry in Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic at the level of new economic realities".
At the conference watched a video dedicated to the economy of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic. Within the framework of the conference, a cooperation memorandum was signed between Nakhchivan State University and MSE Institute of Economics.
The conference, which has continued in face-to-face and online format, continued its work with 6 panel discussions in 3 scientific sections. Scientists from about 20 higher education institutions listened to scientific reports on 44 topics. Discussions in three separate panels from MSE Institute of Economics were moderated by prof. Fuad Ganbarov, Assoc.prof., Famil Rustamov and Assoc.prof., Mahir Zeynalov. Also, along with them, heard the reports of other scientists of the Institute of Economics on various topics presented at the conference.
At the end of the conference, were presented certificates to the participants (economics.org.az).
