Held a meeting of the Scientific Council of the Institute of Economics

  On September 26, 2024, held the next meeting of the Scientific Council of the Institute of Economics of the Ministry of Science and Education. A number of issues were discussed at the meeting chaired by the Director General, Professor Nazim Muzaffarli. 
  At the beginning of the meeting, on the occasion of September 27 - Remembrance Day, the memory of all our martyrs who fought heroically in the Patriotic War, waved the Azerbaijani flag on our lands freed from occupation, and sacrificed their lives for the territorial integrity of our country was commemorated with a minute of silence. 
  Then, the General Manager of the Institute of Economics, Shakir Aliyev, approved the Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated July 22, 2019, "The State Program for 2019-2024 on the fight against drug addiction and illegal circulation of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances and their precursors", he also gave information about the educational activities carried out by the State Agency for Science and Higher Education under the Ministry of Science and Education, and the MSE Institute of Economics. 
  The Scientific Councilor of the Institute, associate professor Leyli Allahverdiyeva gave information about the planned scientific-research works carried out at the Institute of Economics in 2024. It was stated that the annual reports of the planning scientific-research works carried out by the departments should be submitted to the management by November 1, 2024. Also, it is recommended to listen to the individual reports of scientific staff in the departments. In addition, it is planned to hold a scientific article competition between scientific departments and employees based on the results of scientific research works.
  At the meeting, the senior researcher of the Department of Theoretical Foundations of Economic Policy, Doctor of Economic Sciences Seyfeddin Samandarov made a presentation on the main content of the textbook "History of Economic Trainings" authored by him. After discussions, by the decision of the Scientific Council, the textbook was recommended for publication.
  In the meeting, also discussed the issues of changing the scientific supervisors of several doctoral students and Ph.D. students and made relevant decisions. 
  In the Scientific Council, based on the presentation of the Scientific Councilor, through a secret vote, was made a decision to give the title of associate professor to the leading researcher of the department of Industrial policy and investment problems of the Institute, Ph.D.  Sahin Sadigov (economics.org.az).
