On June 12, 2024, a group of employees of the Scientific Center "Restoration of Post-conflict Territories" of the Institute of Economics of the Ministry of Science and Education - head of the Center, associate professor Azer Safarov, leading scientific workers Ph.D., associate professor Tabriz Yadigarov, Ph.D., assoc.prof., Rahima Nuraliyeva, junior scientific researchers Elmir Mehdiyev and Javanshir Burhanzadeh met with Masim Mammadov, the President's special representative in Lachin city of Lachin region
At the meeting, M. Mammadov gave information about the prospective development directions of reconstructed regional economy, stated that it is a strategic goal for innovative fields for taking special place in the regional economy, and answered the researchers' questions. Giving information about the importance of improving the structure of production in Lachin region, Azer Safarov noted that the main research directions of the Scientific Center are the design of the territory-area structure in the liberated territories, the clarification of specialization directions for each administrative region, and the development of mechanisms for attracting private investments to form the optimal structure.
Later, the researchers got to know the enterprises operating in Lachin region. They visited "Aydinoglu" furniture factory in "Zerti" Industrial Zone, Lachin Selection Center, Lachin Concrete and Tile Production Factory, Hochaz Film Studio and Lachin Greenhouse. The management of the enterprise answered to the questions by the researchers about the activities of the enterprises, the raw material base, technical capabilities, the volume of production, the cost of the product, and etc.
In the end, the guests arrived at the historic Minkend village of Lachin region, and got information about the village's restoration concept and measures implemented in this direction (economics.org.az).
